Tree Removal in Sale
Safe, tidy tree felling and removal. Straight fells where there’s space, careful dismantling where there isn’t, and every scrap cleared before we leave. Around two miles from our Stretford base.
Tree Removal for Sale Gardens
Tree removal in Sale is rarely a straight fell. The villa plots around Brooklands, Sale Moor and Ashton upon Mersey hold beeches, limes and sycamores that have had a century to spread, and most stand within falling distance of a house, a garage or the neighbour’s greenhouse. Nearly every big removal here is a sectional dismantle: climb it, rig it and lower it down piece by piece into whatever space the garden gives us. The neighbour’s greenhouse is the first thing we plan around, not the last.
We cover Sale and the surrounding area: Brooklands, Sale Moor, Ashton upon Mersey, Sale town centre, Sale West and beyond (M33).

What’s Included
Access decides how a Sale removal runs. Plenty of the terraces and semis off Washway Road and around Dane Road offer only a side passage or a rear ginnel, so timber gets carried out by hand rather than wheeled off a lawn, and we price for that from the start. Fair warning where a tree is protected: Trafford Council rarely agrees to lose a healthy TPO’d tree, and a crown reduction is often the realistic route instead. We tell you that before you spend anything, not after.
- Straight felling where there’s room to drop the tree whole
- Sectional dismantling with ropes and rigging for tight gardens
- Dead, dying, dangerous and storm damaged trees removed
- TPO and conservation area checks, council paperwork handled
- Logs cut to length and left, or everything chipped and taken away
- Fully insured, with free written quotes on every job
How It Works
Tree Removal in Sale, FAQs
Yes, that is most of our removal work in M33. We dismantle the tree in sections from a rope and harness, lower the heavy wood on rigging lines and carry everything out through the side passage if that is the only way. Lawns, beds and paving get protected before the first cut.
Sometimes. A fair number of trees in Brooklands, Ashton upon Mersey and the roads off Washway Road carry Tree Preservation Orders, and a TPO’d tree needs a Trafford Council application before any work at all. We check the register as part of every quote and handle the paperwork with you. Be aware the council rarely approves felling a healthy protected tree.
Your choice. If you want firewood we’ll cut the trunk into logs and stack them wherever suits you. If not, the branches go through the chipper and the timber is loaded and taken away, so you’re not left with a pile to deal with. The stump stays in the ground unless you ask us to grind it out, which we can quote for at the same time.
It shouldn’t. We plan where everything lands, lower the heavy sections rather than dropping them, and carry the wood out instead of dragging it across soft ground. On a big removal you might get some flattened grass where we’ve been working, but that recovers in a few weeks. Ruts and gouges are the sign of a rushed job, and you won’t get them from us.
It depends on the tree and the access. A small tree with room to fell it whole can be down and cleared in a couple of hours. A large tree that has to come down in sections over a garden takes most of a day, sometimes two. We’ll give you a realistic timescale with the quote so you know what to expect.
