Tree Surgeons in Old Trafford
Bay-fronted terraces off Ayres Road and Seymour Grove, mature trees growing tight to the houses, and paved back yards where every branch has to come down on a rope. Old Trafford is the next neighbourhood over from our Stretford base, minutes up Chester Road.
Tree Work in Old Trafford
Old Trafford is our neighbouring patch. Our yard is in Stretford, M32, about two miles from Trafford Bar with the A56 running straight between the two, so getting out to look at a tree in M16 is quick, and so is coming back with the kit. Between Talbot Road and Brooks Bar there is more mature tree cover than people give this corner of Manchester credit for, and nearly all of it grows close to somebody’s house.
The housing decides how we work here. Old Trafford kept its Victorian streets when other districts pulled theirs down, so most of M16 is bay-fronted terraces and red-brick semis on tree-lined roads, with short front gardens and paved yards behind. Street limes and planes stand a pavement’s width from the bay windows, self-set sycamores fill the odd corners along the back entries, and hardly any garden has room to drop a stem, which is why tree felling here normally means sectional dismantling: rope work, small pieces, everything lowered under control.
Hullard Park and Seymour Park are the area’s two big green anchors, Longford Park runs along the Stretford edge, and the mature trees in and around all three shape the gardens nearest them. Trafford Council is the planning authority on this side of Brooks Bar, with the Empress Conservation Area down at the Chester Road end, so before any work we check whether a tree carries a Tree Preservation Order or sits in a conservation area, and we handle the council paperwork with you when it does.
Around two miles from our Stretford base, covering Trafford Bar, Brooks Bar, Seymour Grove, Ayres Road, Gorse Hill and the rest of Old Trafford (M16).

Old Trafford FAQs
Two miles, give or take. We are tree surgeons based in Stretford, M32, straight down the A56 from Trafford Bar, so M16 is home ground for us rather than a trip. If you ring about a tree we will respond within 24 hours, usually a lot sooner.
A visit, usually from Tim. He walks the job with you, measures the access, checks whether the tree is protected, and gives you a straight opinion, including telling you when a tree needs less work than you feared or none at all. The written quote follows within 48 hours and costs nothing.
All of it: Trafford Bar, Brooks Bar, the streets off Ayres Road and Seymour Grove, the Hullard Park and Seymour Park sides, down to Cornbrook and across to Gorse Hill and Firswood. Whalley Range over the border is covered too, and Stretford next door is where we live.
