Tree Work in Salford

Salford is a city in its own right, and no tree firm honestly covers all of it from one yard. Our patch is the southern and western side: Ordsall and the streets behind Salford Quays, Weaste, Seedley and Langworthy, up through Pendleton to Claremont and Irlams o’ th’ Height, then across to Eccles. That corner sits around four miles from our base in Stretford, so getting out to look at a tree is a short hop rather than a trek. If you are further out towards Walkden or Broughton, ring us anyway and we will tell you whether the travel makes sense or point you towards someone closer.

The housing sets the shape of the work here. Seedley and Langworthy are packed with late Victorian terraces, small yards, shared alleys and the odd sycamore that seeded itself against a back wall years ago and is now far too big for the space. Claremont and the Height have solid semis with bigger gardens and mature trees, and around Ordsall the newer apartment blocks and townhouses carry younger planting that needs keeping in check. Tight access is normal ground for us, so most tree removal in Salford ends up as sectional dismantling: the tree comes down piece by piece, lowered on ropes, not dropped in one. A self-set sycamore hard against a back wall is a normal week’s work here.

Salford has had public parks longer than almost anywhere, Peel Park opened in 1846 and Buile Hill Park is the biggest in the city, and the streets around them carry plenty of mature trees as a result. Some of that stock is protected. Salford City Council holds the TPO register, part of Irlams o’ th’ Height is a conservation area, and in a conservation area the council needs six weeks’ written notice before work on any tree with a trunk wider than 75mm at 1.5m up. We check for Tree Preservation Orders before every job and handle the council paperwork with you, so nothing gets cut that should not be.

Around four miles from our Stretford base, strongest across Ordsall, Weaste, Seedley, Langworthy, Pendleton, Claremont and the neighbouring towns.
