About Bideford Tree Services
A local tree surgery team based in Stretford. Safe climbing, clean cuts and every branch cleared away.
Who We Are
We’re a tree surgery business based in Stretford, Greater Manchester. Tim and the lads handle tree felling, pruning, crown reductions, stump grinding and hedge work across Trafford, Sale and the south side of Manchester, everything from one awkward branch to taking down a row of mature trees section by section.
A lot of tree work round here happens in tight spaces: terraced back yards, gardens backing onto ginnels, trees leaning over conservatories and greenhouses. That’s the work we know best. We climb, rig and lower every limb under control rather than dropping anything and hoping.
The other half of the job is honesty. Plenty of trees we get called to don’t need removing, they need pruning or a crown reduction, and we’ll tell you when the cheaper option is the right one. When a tree has a preservation order on it or sits in a conservation area, we check first and sort the council paperwork with you.

Yes. We check the tree’s status with the council before any work, and where a TPO application or six weeks’ conservation-area notice is needed, we prepare the paperwork with you. Cutting first and asking later risks a fine, so we never do it that way.
Yes. A single overgrown tree, one awkward branch over a shed, a hedge that needs a hard cut. Small jobs are how most customers first find us.
